Working day in Albatros flying club

by Natalie Kjaergaard

This morning we met in Albatros, our flying club, for the biannual working day.

It was mild +15C, low cloud base, mist, no-VFR flying weather (no bad feelings!). After planning the tasks and dividing the responsibilities everybody got busy. Johnny and Carsten fixed the hangar gate:

I was in a team that did 400 hours service for one of our club’s aircraft.

We did a thorough check, and even examined the float bowls of both carburetors. Thomas shares his thoughts:

It was nice to see many members to meet up. Not all of them are on the photos, as we worked in different areas.

Left tank was checked – everything was fine. Lesley took some pictures to proof just that:

The most comprehensive task was the aircraft. Frederik and Rasmus on the photo below:

Jan worked on repairing of our web camera (on the roof). He went up and down the ladder many times:

We had a visit of this beautiful Robin. Not many of such aircraft can land on our 280m long runway. One has to be an experienced pilot, like Micahel:

After about 4 hours everything was done; Steen smiled happily:

This good working day was followed by a meal together. Everybody was glad and satisfied with the work done.
