OY-9465 service 1200 hours

by Natalie Kjaergaard

Our OY-9465 rounded 1200 hours, and yesterday those of us who wanted to participate in conducting the service, met in Albatros flying club. We began from a briefing, agreed on roles and responsibilities, and got started.

We were 11-12 pilots, working in smaller teams:

One team did engine inspection, another – airframe, third – something else.

One of my tasks that evening – on the photo below (green arrow points at). It wasn’t easy, but I succeeded on the third attempt:

Discussing the spike plugs:

Julie fixed the new ones in place:

Thomas demonstrated how to check the filter:

Everything was checked thoroughly:

Comparison of carburettors’ float chambers:

Compression test:

Frederik tested the life jackets:

Different tools demonstration and discussion:

Time went quickly in a good company – in about 4 hours we were finished. Debriefing in the club house:

It was fun, as always. Join us next time!
