Albatros tour 2016: day 8-9

by Natalie Kjaergaard

Saturday 6th August was supposed to be the last day of our trip, but that wasn’t the case for all of us. The weather was good in “our” side of Poland, in Trzebicz Nowy, and we could leave on Saturday, but all our friends strangled at different locations had to stay longer and they would first fly home on Sunday 7th August.

For that reason we don’t have a group picture this year.

The group that left on Saturday had a flight via Anklam where they had to wait a couple of hours for another front to go away. And the groups that left on Sunday, met in Stralsund for lunch, and continued flying home from there.

Most of us met in Albatros club the week after and shared our memories from the trip at a club meeting.

Looking back, it was a great tour with lots of challenges in form of NOTAMs, weather, and other things. Two of our aircraft got grounded in Poland and remained there for reparations, but otherwise everybody reached home safely. Every time we had a problem, many participants contributed with their help which made this trip a success. We enjoyed this time together.
