Yesterday I became the owner of this gorgeous Aeroprakt A22LS, delivered by Steen and Simba from Danaero:

We began with the ceremonial launching, champagne over the aircraft, and then drinking – most of us sparkling mineral water though!

I was so lucky to get a hangar place in Holbæk flying club last December – waited 3 years for that day! And just before Christmas, after considering different options, I ordered an A22LS from Danaero. They did their best to deliver quickly and professionally. And the keys were handed over:

It was time to go for a maiden flight, and I started from adjusting the seat:

Everything was perfect, as expected; we were happy to be airborne in this brand new beauty:

Simba and Steen made this day especially memorable for me with national flags and champagne:

And at home, in the evening, there was even more champagne – and that time I had a glass. On the photo below I’m photographed in front of a wall where I placed pieces of an aircraft I went solo in for about 3 years ago – almost the same model of Aeroprakt:

Now I can fly my own – when I want to, where I wish to, and as long as I can. A great feeling of freedom…
