Nordic Aero Expo took place 21-22 May 2016 in Sweden at ESML Enoch Thulin airfield http://landskronaflygklubb.se/flygplats/ which is a home to Landskrona’s flying club. Being an annual  Air Fair, Nordic Aero Expo attracts many aviation enthusiasts and pilots from Sweden and neighbouring countries. Manufacturers and dealers exhibit their aircrafts and products, aviation organizations and associations hold seminars with interesting topics; there is music and merchandise, and a very friendly atmosphere.
Gliders were also flying, and it was nice to see them circling in thermals north to the airfield.
There were different aircrafts on display – Cirrus, Viper, SD-1 among others, and of course The BlackWing.
BlackWing probably attracted most visitors. Designed and manufactured in Sweden, this is the world’s best composite sport aircraft.  It withstands +12G/-8G, has maximum structural cruising speed (Vne) of 400 km/h, is extremely light and has predictable behaviour both with low and high speed; BlackWing has won a number of awards for its design and performance.
Personally I was most excited about a home-built aircraft with canard layout I noticed in the air on approach. It was Rutan Long EZ from Germany, and it was pure elegance in the air: strong, fast, and beautiful.
All pilots were greeted by the staff:
Hope next year there will be even more interesting aircrafts to see and people to meet at Nordic Aero Expo.
