On a cold Sunday 19th June 2016 about 150.000 people attended Danish Air Show at air-base in Skrydstrup:
The show was well-organized with many exciting events taking place both in the air and on the ground.
Lots of interesting old aircrafts were on display. KZ X on the photo below was manufactured in Denmark by Skandinavisk Aero Industri and used in The Royal Danish Air Force during 1952 – 1959:
Helicopters did incredible maneuvers in the air, though the cloud base was low which prevented many aircrafts’ pilots from showing their best.
B 52 was circling above the airfield – it looked VERY heavy! Only 8 motors… there wasn’t room for more – what a pity…
I was fascinated by the aircraft below. Can you imagine this huge and robust machine can fly? I thought this G-PIGY was really beautiful…
Gliders were there, and ultralights, though the air show was dedicated to military aircrafts.
This SU-27 from Ukraine had so much attention, even 1 hour after the airshow end it impossible to take a picture without a crowd around it.
Impressive radar-aircraft, isn’t it?
IL-76 MD below is the first Soviet four-jet heavy strategic military cargo aircraft for extreme operating conditions. It can operate from short and unpaved runways. The Il-76 can cope with the worst weather conditions experienced in Siberia and Arctic regions.
Merchandise was mostly the usual stuff, but one could also find something special:
We spent around 8-9 hours there, staying 2 hours longer after the official closing – so fascinating it was.
