My flying club in Holbæk often hosts vintage aircraft fly-ins. Last Thursday was one of them. It is normally Kenneth, who organises the events, and this time he also got help from Allan, Michael, Lars, Thomas and Laurs.
When I arrived, all the areas around hangars were full of vintage aircraft – guests and from our club.
Thomas, Lars, and Michael were grilling sausages:
Kenneth landing in his L-4 Grasshopper:
Guests were mingling on apron, talked to the pilots, and experienced the very special atmosphere of our club:
There were also vintage bikes and cars. I’m with Boye’s Ford:
Many beautiful aircraft were lined up:
Simone tried to sell me a grilled sausage, but no – my dinner was going to be delivered by aeroplane!
Flemming and Trine from Gørløse Gliding club arrived in a Dimona, and they brought my dinner:
We shared it on the terrace:
Chipmunk (Kim Frandsen and John Madsen), T-17 (Hans Hammer), and KZII (Henrik Krag and Henrik Olsen) on their way to do an air display:
And KZII with Henrik & Henrik on return:
Rikke, with a bag full of cameras! There were many professional photographers, and then me 🙂 with my mobile phone… Rikke was shooting all evening, and I love her photography:
Thomas and Kenneth with guests:
It was a fantastic event, with so many aircraft attending. Aerobatics, air display, good food, great weather, many guests… But this wonderful evening was going to an end. Ferdinand and Sebastian before leaving, in front of their newly bought Piper Tripacer:
The sun was getting down; the aircraft and guests were on their way home. Kenneth, towing one of his aircraft (KZIII) to the hangar:
And whilst he was busy with that, I took a chance to get a picture with another of his aircraft (KZVII):
And the last photo I took that evening was of Kenneth:
Many thanks to Kenneth for organising! And to Laurs, Allan, Michael, Lars, Thomas – for all practical help they provided! It was a terrific day, and we will long remember it.
