In our flying club in Holbæk, there was the annual general meeting at 10 a.m. and we wanted to attend it. But the tower in Rønne airport first opens at 8 a.m. and we couldn’t get confirmed access to the airside much earlier. Then there is scheduled flight departing at 08:10. And we couldn’t leave the evening before because of the rain in southern Sweden. Lots of small obstacles that all together have an effect…
We were airborne at 08:30, and did an overflying of the area of northern Bornholm that was our home for two wonderful weeks:
The trip to/from Bornholm is relatively easy:
The town of Ystad in Sweden, where a ferry to Bornholm goes from:
Two happy pilots:
The city of Malmö:
The Öresund Bridge, connecting Denmark and Sweden, the longest combined road and rail bridge in Europe, running nearly 8 km. The daily traffic is about 20,000 vehicles:
Copenhagen airport, and all the clouds were gone:
Over Roskilde, however, there still were some of them left:
We descended below them, when we were on long final to Holbæk airfield:
Holbæk town in the morning light:
On final to runway 28:
Henrik and I were a bit late, and the meeting already started. We parked by the club house, and hurried up to the meeting.
We had a good meeting; it was nice to see our club mates again, and to spend time together:
People stayed longer – it was a nice sunny day, and always interesting to catch up with friends:
Henrik and I finally taxied to the hangar:
Henrik was talking to Boye whilst I was flying my drone and taking pictures:
At home, Flemming was waiting with champagne and a delicious dinner:
It was the first warm and sunny evening this year – it was so nice to have a summer dress on! We sat in the garden late, till the sun was there, enjoying that wonderful time:
