Flying is special, and flying at sunset time is even more special. The sunlight is often soft and calming. The psychological effect of watching sunset from air – at least on me – is enormous.
I love the contrasts of dark ground and still light sky. In the middle of it – our beautiful sun, that brings life to our planet, with all those glorious colour changes during a very short time.
It is dark on the ground, because for them, the sunset is already over. But at 2,000 feet we can still enjoy it.
From the sea, eastern coast line of the Sejerø Bay looked very colourful – I love flying there and watch all those incredible creations of sand, vegetation and water. It reminds me of pictures of the Jupiter’s storms in motion:
Flemming didn’t really want to go for a sunset flight with me, but I persuaded him promising an unforgettable experience. Well, the truth is, every sunset is unforgettable! We enjoyed its warm and diffuse red light, just flew around, and appreciate its tranquil beauty.
We waited for its last moments before turning back home. There was almost no wind, the sea was at rest, and the sun was getting down:
Sometimes it’s so easy to feel happy…
