We looked so much forward to this day! http://storeflyvedag.dk/Â Several aircraft from Albatros – our flying club http://albatros-ul.dk/– were going, Â and some of them were also going to participate in the airshow.
A big and pleasant surprise awaited me – Anne, a friend of mine from the island of Funen (Fyn), came to the event in her Savannah! And she brought flowers for me from her garden! I was overwhelmed with joy – ladies will understand my feelings 🙂
And here is Anne herself:
We parked and went for breakfast to the pilot tent.
Many different aircraft were at the show. Duo Discus on the photo below from Frederikssund flying club http://www.f-f-f.dk/. These guys did a lot to promote glider sport – free t-shirts for pilots, flyers, brochures, etc.
Gørløse glider club http://www.glider.dk/ was spotted with this nice aircraft built in 1952:
Stemme http://www.stemme.com/ had minor challenges fitting its long wings into the taxiway’s size.
OY-LSO below – rumoured to be the last privately owned jet in Denmark:
These four did beautiful formation flying etc.:
Two of our ultralights during the airshow:
Bjarne and Lennart did a very nice and daring programme. Unfortunately none of us watching had a camera suitable for recording of this special moment, but we were very proud of being their friends 🙂
Others did ok as well:
There were lots of other interesting things, not only from the aviations world:
Fire brigade car, original from 1940. At that time they were blue:
Edgar, a colleague of mine came by with his family, and got photographed in one of our aircraft:
We had very nice time at the event. Met pilots from other flying clubs, friends and relatives, time flew by.
And here is THE MAN who made this event happen – Finn RenĂ©:
MANY THANKS FOR THIS WONDERFUL DAY!
