On my last day in Barth, Sunday, there was city festival called “Barther Herbstzauber”.
There were live performances on the streets:
The historical centre of the town was closed for all traffic, even bikes were not permitted. Lots of people were on the streets, enjoying the sunshine and +25C.
The two musicians on the photo below played nowadays hits on those old instruments, it was really good:
There were a couple of scenes set up in different places, and performances were going on all the time.
It was great to experience Barther Herbstzauber, and I wished I could stay longer. I love travelling in general, and it is very rare that I miss home and want to leave. I only recall it to happen when I had too much of unwanted attention from men, travelling in countries where solo female travellers are seen as a sexual target.
I eventually got back to my OY-9797:
Parachute jumpers were enjoying the nice weather, too:
They would be picked up by an ATV in a trailer:
The wind was a bit gusty and across the runway, so I had planned to leave as late as possible. It was also windy in my home airport of EKHK, and I didn’t want to hurry up.
Barth from air:
I did a round over Zingst where I spent such a wonderful day by the sea. Zingst harbour:
And over the beach:
Heading for home, even at 6,000 feet I could feel the wind gusts sometimes. The clouds on the photo below were approaching quickly, and I didn’t want to be caught up in them crossing over the Baltic sea:
Fying over Denmark, I changed my route a bit, to appreciate the beautiful view of the 30 km long Guldborgsund:
The Aviator and The Blue Bear enjoyed the nice views from their seat:
What a wonderful weekend I had in Barth and Zingst! I love travelling alone! 🙂
