The first 25 hours in my new Aeroprakt were flown quickly, and it was time for the first maintenance work. Lars, one of our materials inspectors from the Danish Ultralight Aircraft Union, kindly agreed to supervise this task.
Flemming also agreed to give a hand, and on a sunny evening we began our work. The wind seemed to be blowing directly into the hangar, but that didn’t spoil the pleasure of working together.
It is relatively easy with the 25 hours service. I had printed out the Rotax maintenance check lists, which we followed. Lars has been a pilot for more than past 20 years, an authorised materials inspector, and I value his advice. He guided me through the procedures, and shared his tips.
