Yesterday Roskilde flying club celebrated its 80 years anniversary. It is Denmark’s largest flying club, with rich traditions and over 450 members. During the day there was an open house event, and in the evening we met to celebrate the date.
When I arrived, some of the guests were already there. Perry, Peter, and Inge-Merete having a chat:
Soon the house was full:
Thomas (left) who arranged the party together with other members:
Per, our chairman, had a speech, and made a toast in honour of the club:
We had a drink before moving on to the dinner.
And the dinner was already served: we had delicious tapas, 7-9 different kinds.
Jeanette organised a couple of quizzes, and we had a fun time solving them:
We could invite friends/family to the event, and my friend Anne joined me:
During the breaks we enjoyed the warm evening on the terrace:
It was a very nice evening together where we remembered the club’s history, talked about future plans, enjoyed excellent food and wine, and each others company. Many thanks to the organizers, and to all participating! Happy anniversary!
