Flemming and I patiently waited for the chance to fly to Kiruna. The weather became good again in Piteå, where we stayed at the local flying club, but it was still raining in Kiruna. We had to spend one more day in Piteå, and it wasn’t a bad place. Piteälven (Piteå river) was running very close to the flying club, and we began our morning from a swim:
Or, to be more precise, it was me who began it from a swim! Flemming went to the water up to his knees, and then changed his mind, and got back to the shore:

In the evening, a team of pilots flying paramotors, landed in Piteå. They did some local flights at sunset, i.e. around midnight:
It was a nice and lazy day. We were ready for an early take-off next morning: the weather in Kiruna was finally going to be good.
