We got incredibly hot weather in Denmark, with temperatures around +30C! It was time for a relaxing weekend by the sea, preferably away from the crowd.
Flemming and I just came back from a 4-week flying vacation in Sweden, we were full of many wonderful experiences, and wanted to have a do-nothing weekend. We decided to go visit Ib, the owner of the Bogense airfield on the island of Fyn. Last time we were in Bogense, we enjoyed Ib’s company very much. And there was a beautiful beach approx. 1 km from the airfield. We called Ib a couple of days before, and made an arrangement.
We took off Friday afternoon, and were so lucky – Henrik from my flying club was out with a friend, and we did some formation flying.
It was a great fun! It was of course Henrik, who did formation flying in his irresistible KZII – Flemming flew level and I took pictures:
We said goodbye to Henrik, wished him a good flight, and headed for Bogense:
Ib warmly welcomed us. It was so nice to see him again.
Flemming and I went straight to the beach.
It was so good to have a swim!
We played in the water almost all evening long.
Finally it was hot summer!
And what could be better than a sunset dinner on the beach! A glass of rosé and strawberries for desert:
There were lots of nice small well smelling flowers:
We stayed there till late, and watched the sunset:
