Wednesday’s destination during summer time is Hässleholm where their specialty is waffles.
Flying over Sweden means flying over its forests most of the time. Sweden is a beautiful country, also from air. My companion for this trip was Niels – a fellow pilot from my flying club:
Hässleholm flying club (ESFA) has a very nice and long grass runway:
We were among the first ones arriving. On final for landing on runway 22:
Soon many other aircraft landed. Among others this beautiful SAAB 91D Safir from 1959:
323 units of Safir were built during 1946 – 1966. The aircraft was used as a trainer by the Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Austrian, Tunisian, and Ethiopian air forces.
Piper Cub J3C-65 was parked in front of the club house.
It is always interesting to see how the tails are decorated:
The wreckage below is used for rescue training courses:
I meet the pilot on the photo below at every flying event in Sweden, and it is very nice to meet again and to catch up. This time his lovely wife could also attend, and we enjoyed having a chat during this sunny evening.
The island of Ven on our way back home:
And a beautiful view over the calm waters of Øresund:
