Yesterday we had a pleasure of joining the crowds at an open house event in Gørlev flying club. About 500 people attended, and both heavy air traffic and ground operations were managed professionally.

The event was well-organized: barbecue, cold drinks, coffee and cakes, things to see and do.

Different aircraft visited Gørlev flying club during the day – among others ultralights, sport, autogyro, vintage. Næstved model flying club demonstrated their radio controlled models.

Guests had a chance to have a flight, and many took this offer. First flight is always an unforgettable experience.

Pilots were happy to show their aircraft, to give a flight, and answer questions about education and economy for different kinds of flying.

Both pilots and non-pilots love coming to such events. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, you often meet your friends and acquaintances, and get to know new people (and aeroplanes!).
