Thursday afternoon Henrik and I were preparing for a 5-day tour to Fur, a small island in the North Jutland. Boye came by in one of his classic cars to wish us a good trip:
I met Henrik and Boye first time for 3 years ago, under the wing of a Messerschmitt Bf 110! We remained loyal friends since then.
Henrik and I took off, and headed for our destination. The weather was very pleasant, a bit turbulent at low altitudes, otherwise good cold air which is so nice to fly in:
Around 120 nautical miles, and in under approx. 1.5 hours we reached the island:
Fur covers an area of 22 km2, and around 900 people live there:
We overflew the island before landing. Fur harbour:

We located the airstrip and the place where we were going to stay. On the photo below, one blue arrow points at the middle of the runway, another one – at the hangar. The red arrow points at the B&B, called Fuur Farm Vest, where we booked our rooms:
We parked the aircraft; I cleaned the prop, and Henrik arranged the bikes.
The accommodation was simple and comfortable, with a long terrace facing west, and amazing views. We had a cup of tea there, and read our books:
We enjoyed the sunsets from the terrace, every single evening:
