Nice breakfast on the terrase of our cabin in Ballenstedt airport:
That day we were going to fly home, but with a stopover in Sierksdorf for swimming in the sea:
The town of Quedlinburg, Flemming and I visited the day before:
It was a very nice place, highly recommended.
Flemming and I were flying for 3 weeks, but we never had a chance to swim anywhere. We looked so much forward to getting into the water! The Sierksdorf beach with the grass runway in the background:
We walked down to the beach. The harvest work was underway:
There were lots of people on the beach! What else can you expect when it is +27C and sunshine…
I immediately went into the water – it was so wonderful! Flemming went till his knees, walked a bit around and decided it was too cold 🙂
We relaxed on the beach, enjoying the sound of waves…
Soon it was necessary to cool down, and we thought it was a good excuse to have an ice-cream.
The portions were gigantic, but after I removed all whipped cream from mine, there was almost nothing left…
Flemming and I spent several hours there on the beach, really appreciating that time by the sea.
We got back to the Sierksdorf airport, and whilst I was preparing for the flight, Flemming had a nap under the wing:
The flight home was easy, and we couldn’t believe it was already our last flight this summer vacation.
Denmark welcomed us with magnificent views:
Flemming helped me with a thorough washing of my OY-9797.
The 3 weeks went quickly. We had lots of great experiences, visited new places, and met many nice people. I’m going to write a summary of our tour in another blogpost.
