Yesterday, after a busy day at the office, I needed to unwind.
The blue colour of freedom:
I thought it was time to go to Skåne – the southernmost county of Sweden. Typical landscape of Skåne – endless forests, blue lakes. On the photo below is the Tjörnarp’s church from 1864:
I landed in Hässleholm/Bokeberg. Nice match – yellow club house, yellow A22:
The next stop was Eslöv:
Eslöv flying club hosted excellent fly-ins during July, and I expected to get a good dinner, but I didn’t know these days were over. I was welcomed with coffee and cakes, and enjoyed watching parachute jumpers.
In Landskrona I went to their renovated hangars where I saw several nice aircraft. On the photo below is a Malmo MF11 – I was quite attracted by its special forms.
In Landskrona one can always watch gliders taking off:
No flying in Skåne is complete without visiting Höganäs flying club. There I was lucky to see this beautiful Piper L21B Super Cub in action. This aircraft was serving in the army from 1966 till 1973, and today is privately owned:
Viken and its harbour on my way back to Denmark:
Coasting in… Beautiful day!
I was away for 4.5 hours, of them – 3.5 hours in the air. Visited 4 flying clubs, said hello to many amiable people with whom we share the same passion. Not bad for a Thursday evening! i was singing when I landed. Incredible how much energy one can get out of flying…
