Summer evening on the beach in Bogense

by Natalie Kjaergaard

It has been long time since I visited Ib in Bogense, on the island of Fyn.

I knew I won’t have much time there, but even a short visit is good.

The flight was easy, and soon I could see Bogense from  air. It is a very nice town, and I love to go for a strall there:

I flew over the Harridslevgaard Castle which I visited first time in 2020. It made an impression!

Today, it is temporarily closed. If you are interested,  you can read more and see pictures in my blogpost from that time here.

The 400 metres long runway on Ib’s estate, marked in yellow:

After I landed and we gave each other a big hug, Ib invited me to his terrase where we chatted about our lives, what has happened since last time, and so on. It was very nice to see him again.

It was a very hot day, and I went to the beach nearby:

The water was also warm, though cooler than the air.

I stayed there long… The other time I was on the beach, there were lots of small fish that did free pedicure. I didn’t see even one fish this time…

Later I had my simple dinner on the beach. I was there alone, and it was very peaceful.

Unfortunately, I also needed to fly back home!

Ib waited till I taxied to the runway, and we waved to each other, I – from air, he – from the ground.

I flew in the area a bit, had a look at some castles and did a round over the tiny island of Æbelø:

The day after the weather was going to change, and I enjoyed the sunset some extra minutes:

I was glad, I visited Ib. He seenmed to be in a good health and happy. I hope to come back soon.
