Pancakes in Höganäs

by Natalie Kjaergaard

On the last day of Easter holidays Vagn picked me up in Holbæk flying club.

We wanted to visit a place in Höganäs called Pannkaksladan which is a farm with a restaurant, animals, pony riding, and much more. The name could be translated into English as “pancakes barn”, and yes they do a large variaty of pancakes we were longing for.

Höganäs flying club is one of my favoutite places to visit in Sweden. People are very nice, I always feel so welcome there. Local pilots often pop up, pilots from other countries come visiting, and we have some good chat about our flying trips.

We borrowed bikes, and went to the harbour first, enjoying the excellent weather and beautiful art on our way:

Hamnkrogen and Vagn dreaming 🙂

Fish and chips. I often forget to ask for veggies instead of chips – too bad because it’s waste of food, I don’t eat chips… The fish was delicious.

In the harbour there is a free pump for bikes – what a service!

A nice place for sunbathing:

After the harbour we continued to Pannkaksladan for a pancakes desert. Farm house:

One of the attractions – Kenneth and Søren, two lovely pigs.

Here is a bit info, and you can also follow them on Facebook:

We got our pancakes:

And I also got a new friend. He was so charming:

I logged our cyckling, and we did 15 km in 5 hours! That’s the record so far from all my flying tips. Vagn is a true adventure man, and is always ready to go/hike/bike/climb/row an extra hour.

A couple of rounds over the Kullaberg admiring its unbelievable beauty:

Back to Holbæk, and a final photo of Vagn and his Rans 6 before he left for his home airfield.

Wonderful day, both in the air and with many fun experiences on the ground. Such a day gives so much energy, contentment, and joy…
