Summer tour 2024. Day 18: Lazy cat-day in Traben-Trarbach

I had a long sleep, and when I got up, I found Flemming working in the living room:

He got some good ideas for his own company, and wanted to use some hours on that. I wanted to write my blog, the weather wasn’t very nice, we were a bit tired of sightseeing. It was a perfect chance for staying at home and having a slow day.

We realised, there was a cat laying on the warm stones of our patio:

It was a peaceful place, surrounded by bushes of flowers, and the cat obiously enjoyed the serenity of that small garden. He came in to the house, and after briefly inspecting all the rooms, slowly left without ever looking at us. How ignorant!

We took a break for lunch and walked down to the town.

Salads and local wine:

It was our last full day in Traben-Trarbach, and we walked around a little.

The ruins of an old castle on top of the hill overlooking Traben-Trarbach – we wondered, what would happen if a strong gust came one day?

At home, another surprise awaited us – as soon as we opened the patio door, a new cat came in:

She was much nicer – alowed us to touch her, though she didn’t stay long either.

Later in the afternoon we went for a longer walk by Moselle:

We crossed a railway that was probably not in use; we never heard any trains.

Flowers were heavy after the rain and bended towards the earth:

We discovered a small harbour, and wondered why we neve saw even a single private boat on Moselle?

There were no beaches or swimmers either. We otherwise had hoped to go swimming in Moselle…

Flemming was in a mood for cooking, and he prepared a nice dinner for us – stuffed peppper with minced meat and veggies. It was really good:

The fog was forming over Moselle at night, and we went out of our house to appreciate the view:

I was lying in the bathtub every evening – I love it. It is so relaxing and enjoyable! Flemming served me a glass of sparkling:

We were drinking that bottle of sparkling for 3 days 🙂 It was good, we just didn’t want to drink much. It was nice to have our slow and lazy day. It was also quite productive: Flemming programmed his new solutions, and I wrote 4 blogposts. We prepared for the flight next day. Takeoff from the Mont Royal was going to be downhill and over the valley – we looked forward to experience that.
