Munkegaard tractor museum

by Natalie Kjaergaard

It was my dream to visit Munkegaard tractor museum. To get there you need to fly to the NordAls flying club, enjoy a cup of coffee with these kind-hearted pilots of Southern Jutland, borrow a bike, and cycle 1 km to the place. The photo below is landing on runway 24.

The museum opened in 2008 and today it has around 200 vintage tractors on display.

I like when there is a chance to see other vehicles than aircraft, especially when combined in one and the same event, like  Wings & Tracks I visited last year.
The amount of tractors was overwhelming. We admired the Porsche tractors design.

We had to try to seat on these wonderful machines.

Below is the picture of a moped that was used by the owner’s dad:

The workshop was open and Lars tried hands-on with some instruments. That was easy, according to Lars.

Lars loved the eye-catching wall calendar.

But turning the page was quite disappointing for Lars. I thought male models were gorgeous.

It was an incredible experience to see all these tractors in one place, an we could spend more hours there, but it was time to go back to the airfield.

There we were shown other aircraft the Nordals flying club has. Another KZIII from 1946:

And a Beagle-Auster A-61 Terrir 2 from 1964:

It was time to go home. This is how the sea looked like when we were leaving:
