Anne and I decided to spend last Sunday of this summer on Ærø. When we met early morning in my flying club in Holbæk, the weather seemed to be marginal: there were walls of towering cumulus, mist and shower rain. But it was going to get better, and whilst we waited, we used our time productively by doing work sparring and coaching. After a couple of hours we took off:
Flying to Ærø is easy; the flight is around 1 hour:

Anne and I took the bikes, and biked 7 km to Ærøskøbing via a nice bicycle path by the sea:
We stopped to take pictures and to enjoy wild blackberries that were in abundance along the path:
When on Ærø, I normally go to Ærøskøbing. I love its old charming houses:

Back to the town… Everything was closing down for the season, and we reached to buy the very last ice-cream on the main square. A stroll through the cobblestoned streets of Ærøskøbing:
It was a warm and sunny day, +20C, and it was so nice to spend it outside.
