Our last morning on the tour began from preparing the aircraft. On our way to Sweden we were going to make a stop on the Danish island Bornholm.

SE-GPH before taxiing to the tank station:
Refueling was easy, and we could pay with the credit card right at the station. The challenge was that all info was in Polish.
And we managed!
Our good bye to the Toruń Airport:
And to the city of Toruń:
Happy crew on the way to a new destination – Bornholm:
Time goes quickly in a good company. Soon the island of Bornholm was on the horizon. White sand beach of Dueodde:
Rønne, the largest town of Bornholm:
Bornholm airport where we landed:
The airport was officially opened on 16th November 1940.
Most of the people from our group were already there. We took taxis and went for lunch to Arnager Smoke House, conveniently located very close to the airport.
We had a very nice meal in the garden:
I ordered hot smoked salmon, and was disappointed: it was dry, pale beige colour, no skin, strange taste… The rest was good though.
No Smoke House is without a charming cat! The one below was so cute!
After lunch and some relaxation time we got back to the airport. All of us still had to do flights to the final destinations.
Bornholm airport had a self-briefing room where we could register our aircraft, and pay the landing fee.
A funny detail: before processing the payment a credit card machine asked whether we wanted to add extra tips. Instruction on the wall recommended to select “no”.
We got back to our aircraft and did the last preparations before going home. Joakim on the photo below is double-checking the gasoline level. He did that every time before every take off 🙂 It’s a good practice.
And final group photo, from left to right (except for Anders, Sven, and Andreas that chose to land in Heringsdorf insted of Bornholm):
Many thanks to all these pilots for making this tour unforgettable! And special thanks to Joakim and Jan for inviting me to fly with them!
