I had a long sleep on Saturday. Very long. Ib and Flemming waited patiently on the terrace, having a chat about life. When I finally got ready, Ib drove us to Bogense.
Flemming and I were looking for a breakfast, but it was already lunch time – so we thought we might have a better chance to find breakfast in the marina, and walked into that direction.
There were many nice boats there:
In fact, it was overcrowded and busy – and it only added a charming summer touch:
We had to settle for lunch instead of breakfast, and we found a cosy restaurant with marvellous sea views, that also served a very healthy food we were so happy about:
After lunch Flemming and I returned to the town. There supposed to be an annual roses festival, Bogense is so famous for, but because of the COVID-19 it was replaced by a modern and vintage car show:
There were many beautiful vintage cars and bikes:
Coffee & cake break due to missed breakfast:
That cafe also had some nice cakes – and we bought one for dinner. We were going to have barbecue at the airfield where Ib also has his house, a hangar and a workshop, his fields, and the sea view… Ib’s son Steen was going to join us for dinner, and Ib had prepared marinated moose meat.
We left the cake in the cafe’s fridge for later pick up, and headed for a jazz concert – there were several of them during the day:
It was way too hot to sit in the sun, so Flemming and I thought we’d be better off on a beach. Ib kindly picked us up from Bogense, and we then walked down to the beach.
It was so refreshing to be in the water!
It was exactly what we needed.
When we returned, Steen was already there, and the dinner was almost ready:
Steen arrived on his super bike, and kindly agreed to have a photo:
Ib, Steen, Flemming and I had a wonderful time. The food was very tasty, and we enjoyed our evening together:
At sunset, Flemming got in a mood for photographing:
Steen had to leave, and the rest of us continued that lovely warm evening with coffee and cake.
