On my last day on Föhr I went to Wyk auf Föhr, the only town on the island. It has around 4500 inhabitants (half of the island’s population).
The building on the photo below is from 1908, renovated in 1998.

Storks in the middle of the town:
It was time to go home… When I arrived to Föhr Friday afternoon, there were 5 aircraft parked. When I was leaving Sunday afternoon, about 20-25 aircraft were parked on apron. I was the only one from Denmark (yellow aircraft), the rest were from different parts of Germany.
I did a round over this beautiful island. First Eastern and Northern part, had a look at the windmills (they were still there), the villages I visited, the roads I was on, and headed to the island of Amrum. Flew over it – what a beach on its west coast! Unfortunately no airstrip.
Back to Föhr, and flying over its western part:
There was a bit of a rain, sunshine, and a rainbow on the way.
Final goodbye… Wyk auf Föhr on the left and its habour on the right…
