Jens and I headed for Læsø island – finally the weather stabilised and we could spend a couple of days free of gusts!
We agreed to fly by Frederikshavn and Sæby, the two towns we visited whilst staying in northern Jutland:
Frederikshavn looked gorgeous from the air:
And so did Sæby:
Soon we reached Læsø:
We parked our aircraft:
Spoke to Alex, from whom we rented a car, and went to his hangar to see his beautiful CT. Alex flies Pantenavia, and has recently bought an ultralight which he is so fond of:
We were supposed to stay at Inge-Merete’s cottage, but the key we got from a neighbour didn’t fit.
There was a moment of panic, at least for me – where are we going to sleep? It was damn cold, the sun was getting down… Whilst the neighbour communicated with Inge-Merete, I quickly searched for hotels and rooms, and actually found one. There was a hope we didn’t have to sleep in our sleeping bags on the terrace!
It showed up, the neighbour gave us the wrong key! What a relief! We got the right one and soon were getting our dinner ready:
An evening in front of a fire place on an island in Denmark – life couldn’t be better! Outside, there were millions of stars on the night sky – it was so beautiful!
