Home Pilots Bo Rønnow – happy anniversary!

Bo Rønnow – happy anniversary!

by Natalie Kjaergaard

Last Saturday we celebrated Bo’s birthday in his home town Otterup on the island of Funen. There were several anniversaries: Bo turned 70, he spent 50 years of singing and playing music with different bands, 30 years of being an enterpreneur, and more. Around 100 people from different corners of Denmark attended.

I mostly know Bo as a pilot. Bo Rønnow has a lifetime flying experience as a private pilot. He hosts Pannkosh in EKØF –
a fly-in where guests have a chance to make their own pancakes from a dough Bo prepares in advance – every last Sunday of every month during summer time.  Bo works as volunteer at SOS Børnebyerne where he arranges different events that support this organization financially. For instance, all profit from the Pannkosh fly-ins goes to the SOS Børnebyerne. Bo is also a very nice person and has a great personality – one of the reasons we love him.

At his party, Bo also showed us his talent as a singer:

There were many speeches at this remarkable event:

For those who’ve missed the Pannkosh there was a special area with dough etc. Eric is making his own pancake:

There was live music with different friends performing for Bo:

We were of course also singing songs for Bo all together:

Someone brought a cake:

The room was beautifully decorated with flags from all those countries Bo has visited. The atmosphere was delightful: nice people of all ages and unique backgrounds. From “our side” (pilots from Zealand) we were five: Carl, Carsten, Eric, Steen, and I. On the photo below Steen (left) and Eric (right).

It was a very enjoyable day. Great food and drinks, happy people, quality time… Many thanks to Bo for inviting us and happy anniversary!
