Albatros flying club http://albatros-ul.dk/ has long tradition for annual club tours. Every year week 31 is prebooked for a flying trip organized by members. Aircrafts from other flyings clubs in Denmark are welcome to participate, and they do. Last year on a one-week tour we visited Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Czech Republic. Unforgettable experiences… It is not only about flying and expanding your own limits, but about being together, socializing, visiting interesting places, and meeting new people.
Organizing such a trip is not an easy task, sometimes stressful but mostly enjoyable and rewarding. This year I’m one of the organizers, and I look forward to the trip. I’ll tell more in my next post.
Denmark is very flat, we all got our adrenaline pumping in Slovakia:
Last year’s trip had many exciting activities. Wine tasting in Czech Republic was organised with the help of some people I never met, but had connection to through my network. In Kravi Hora they have excellent wine cellars. Unfortunately we couldn’t either drink much (flying the day after) or buy many bottles to take home (due to weight limitations on our aircraft).
And this is how we normally fill up our tanks! One more reason to fly an autogyro 🙂 It would be difficult to do it in a fixed-wing, but not impossible.
Beautiful full moon picture from the last year’s tour:
A great flying week awaits us… On Saturday 20 aircrafts are headed south.
